Robb Stark, Harry Hart, Doctor Strange and Tommen Baratheon all managed to teleport themselves to 1917. Well, okay: Richard Madden, Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch and Dean-Charles Chapman aren’t actually playing their iconic characters, but we get the sense that many people who watch the trailer for the World War I movie1917 might get that feeling. Let’s find out:

The plot, as we understand it, is that Chapman’s character — Blake — is going to go on a mission to call off an attack that could potentially kill his brother. What the trailer doesn’t do a very good job of specifying is that his brother is played by Richard Madden.

Whether Madden and Chapman can convincingly play brothers remains a mystery, but we can enjoy the irony of a Stark and Lannister/Baratheon now being related on the big screen.

Meanwhile, in the horror comedy section of the store, Little Monsters features Lupita Nyong’o slapping Josh Gad as she plays a teacher of young children forced to face the zombie apocalypse. For bonus points, our sister site, Culturess, gets a shout-out as one of the reviewers!

This one is NSFW, FYI:

Nyong’o showed in Us that she has the distinct ability to get creepy, and although this character is nothing like Red, there’s still something really eerie about how she switches from being horrified to bright and cheery for her students. Also, Gad’s character taking a bite out of a zombie child and then immediately regretting it is hilarious.

Sticking with horror, we’ve got a little feature about IT: Chapter Two. “Coming Home” talks with the new cast — and Stephen King — about how things have changed since Chapter One, with the principal players all grown up and returning to the sleepy town of Derry, Maine to eradicate the evil known as IT once and for all:

The first two trailers here each go for a very specific mood and feeling, rather than just being a generic war movie or zombie movie trailer. Whether it’s the idea of one character holding his brother’s life in his hands or a kindergarten teacher facing down the apocalypse, keep your eyes peeled for these two films.

And IT looks fun, too, but you were probably going to see that anyway.
