Twelve more Game of Thrones sequel series we’d love to see
The Tales of Dunk and Egg
Yes, this one is actually a prequel, but let’s go with it anyway.
This show would be based on the existing series of fantasy novellas by George R. R. Martin, set in Westeros around 90 years before the events of Game of Thrones. The story follows the adventures of Dunk and Egg. One day, Dunk will become a Lord Commander of the Kingsguard while Egg will inherit the Iron Throne (he’s Maester Aemon’s brother). But the novellas set are during during their early days.
After the death of his mentor, Ser Arlan of Pennytree, Dunk of Fleabottom decides to enter the world of knighthood as a lowly hedge knight. He calls himself Ser Duncan the Tall and arrives a tournament where he accepts a weird, bald kid named Egg (actually Aegon Targaryen) as his squire. They become lifelong friends as they trek across Westeros, surviving all sorts of adventures.
Like A Song of Ice and Fire, Martin plans to write more installments in the Dunk and Egg series. If they became TV episodes, we’d watch ’em all.
