The Last Kingdom has resumed filming on season 4!
By Corey Smith
After a brief summer hiatus, it looks like Netflix has resumed filming on the fourth season of its hit medieval drama The Last Kingdom.
Or at least that’s what we’re picking up from the social media feeds of the cast members, some of whom are back on set and some of whom are still enjoying some time off. Let get into it, starting with this throwback photo from Emily Cox (Brida) showing her with Ragnar (Tobias Santelmann) on the set of season 3:
We will miss you in season 4, Ragnar.
Speaking of season 4, Magnus Bruun (Cnut), is back on set, getting pretty for the camera:
And Bruun isn’t the only one back in makeup. Adrian Bouchet (Steapa) is also suiting up. Here he is before donning Steapa’s favorite mail coat:
Elsewhere, Mark Rowley (Finan) and Arnas Fedaravicius (Sihtric) dream of one day opening their own beer garden:
Before getting back to work, Rowley hit up a festival:
This guy looks like he knows how to have a good time:
Millie Brady (Aethelflaed) is still enjoying some down time:
Also he got back to work, Bouchet attempted to take his own headshot:
Not bad. Being good looking probably helps.

And Bruun spent some of his vacation learning to rock climb. Perhaps for a scene in season 4?
Bruun also found a strikingly life like figurine at the market. Lego Cnut!
As more of the cast shows up, hopefully we’ll get even more behind the scenes fun! Destiny is all!
