Jason Momoa dishes on the “Snyder cut,” and other celebrity stuff

facebooktwitterreddit

Jason Momoa — former Dothraki khal and current Aquaman — has added his two cents to the years-long debate about an elusive special cut of Justice League from director Zach Snyder, presumably one that’s better than the lukewarm movie we actually got.

It is “the Snyder cut,” and some say it’s not real.

Not Momoa, though. According to a new Instagram post, not only has he seen it — Snyder apparently showed it himself — but it is “ssssiiicccckkkkkk.”

The video is very sweet, too, although Momoa does misspell “Snyder” up top. We won’t hold it against him.

So will we ever actually see this fabled Snyder cut? The mystery may be solved, but the journey continues.

In other Game of Thrones celebrity news, the elusive Jack Gleeson (Joffrey Baratheon) played a part in an Irish wrestling show the other day, playing a part in the character arc of wrestler J Money at Dublin’s Trinity Brawl 2. His role is…odd. We’ll follow The A.V. Club’s lead and let Pro Wrestling Sheet explain the specifics:

"According to those in attendance … Gleeson appeared at the top of the show in a weird outfit and makeup as part of the storyline taking place in J Money’s head. After a full card of matches, Jack re-appeared at the end of the show as his normal self to reveal J Money had been unconscious for five months and it was now Christmas Eve. Because of that, they had to send the fans home to be with their families, so “All I Want For Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey began to play and everyone in the ring danced as the show came to a close."

Okay. Maybe it makes more sense on tape:

Nope.

Anyway, the audience booed Gleeson when he was onstage, because it’s going to take more than a mere five years to forget how much they hated Joffrey Baratheon. Gleeson has mostly left acting to do humanitarian work now, but clearly he’s still a performer. If he ever decides to return to the screen, maybe playing against type as someone the audience doesn’t want to see die a brutal death, we’ll be there.

Next. Ricky Whittle: American Gods season 3 will be “the best season yet”. dark
