The first season of AMC’s The Terror focused on the historical events surrounding the disappearance of the 1848 Franklin expedition, which was on a mission to search for the Northwest Passage. It was a great yarn that included terrific character drama, fantastic beasts, and men slowly going insane.
The second season of the anthology series, The Terror: Infamy, merges the worlds of ancient Japanese ghosts and the infamous forced interment of the Japanese-American population during World War II. Along with some cool kaidan folklore phantoms, the show explores potent themes of racism and cultural conflict, all set during one of the darkest chapters in America’s past.
Can AMC generate another great horror series that plunges into the grim mysteries of the human experience? They’re building on fertile ground. We’re going to watch every episode as it airs, updating this post as the series goes on. Let’s get started!
