For a few years now, Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi has been hitting the road to bring the music of the show to the people with the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience, a splendid event celebrating the musical high points of the show, and there have been a lot:

Although Djawadi won’t personally be at of the tour stops on this leg, he is the creative musical force behind the concert, and the show in general. Today, he announced that rehearsals had begun!

Seeing a giant multi-colored Drogon projected onto a screen behind the musicians sounds very much in keeping with the style of the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience. I went between seasons 6 and 7 of the show, and it was quite the spectacle. With the series well and truly wrapped, I expect they’ll want to pull out all the stops.

One of the new pieces we can expect to be highlighted is “The Night King,” the piece that played right before Arya burst from the shadows and ended the long night before it could really get started:

Whenever Ramin wants to know how serious things are getting, he breaks out the piano. I’m sure this piece will kill during the live show.
