Check out the first footage from Outlander season 5!

The fifth season of Outlander won’t premiere until 2020, but thanks to STARZ, we can get a little sneak peak now!

The brief new clip is embedded in a supercut of shows coming to the network. Watch below:

Sassanechs, are you freaking out as much as I am?! There are no big revelations in the new footage, but we do get something interesting stuff to mull over.

The Outlander clip shows an older Jamie and Claire; Jamie looks like he hasn’t aged a day while Claire is sporting some grey hair. My theory is that all the time travel has caused Claire to age faster than Jamie.

“It’s time,” Claire says to her gorgeous, ageless husband. Time for what? I don’t know but my Outlander-loving mind is exploring all the possibilities. With all the Murtagh drama in the season 4 finale, there are a lot of roads open. Is it time to travel using the stones and save Murtagh somehow? But Jamie can’t use the stones, which presents a dilemma. I highly doubt Claire and Jamie are looking to separate again.

There’s more to investigate. Jamie and Claire are standing next to a pile of sticks which may or may not be significant. Bear in mind that season 5 is based off the fifth book in the Outlander series, The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon. Perhaps it’s a direct link to the title? Or maybe it has something to do with whatever Claire is saying it’s time to do. Uh oh, could there be witches burnt at the stake this season?!
