Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown teams up with sister to make original Netflix movie
Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) has been stealing America’s heart since the show began back in July of 2016. While away from Hawkins, she headlined Godzilla: King of the Monsters and will return for its sequel, Godzilla vs. Kong.
So she’s doing all right, and now she’s about to add “producer” to her growing list of credits. Variety reports that the 15-year-old Brown has inked a deal to make a Netflix original movie, A Time Lost, together with her sister Paige and father Robert. The story, which comes from Millie and Paige, is about a two Long Island families who have “a long-standing feud” that gets put on hold when one of their daughters is diagnosed with cancer. There’s no cast announced yet, but it sounds like something Millie could star in herself.
“We are so grateful to Netflix for their confidence in us and this beautiful story, which we have spent years writing and developing,” the Brown sisters said in a joint statement. “It’s about friendship, family and overcoming obstacles when it feels like the world is pushing you down. It’s been a labor of love, literally.”
Prepare for a tearjerker.
Moving on, Brown also has new line of vegan skincare for teenagers: Florence by Mills (Florence is her grandmother’s name). Or maybe she does. The internet is convinced she’s trolling them with this one. In an Instagram post on her personal account — which BuzzFeed reports was taken down on Tuesday — Brown appears to be using the line of products with zero effect on her actual skin. Luckily, the video was saved to YouTube, where the comments are universally civil.
“Wait there is nothing on her face???? What is she using?? Air????” one commenter asks. I don’t know, and we shall speak no more about it.
