The Mandalorian is the first-ever live action Star Wars TV show, and it’s looking pretty sick. Set five years after the end of the fall of the Empire in Return of the Jedi, the show follows a lone bounty hunter on the outskirts of the galaxy (Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal). Other cast members include Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito and cult filmmaker Werner Herzog, of all people.
And Herzog isn’t the only quirky casting decision made by showrunner Jon Favreau. During a visit to The Rich Eisen Show, comedian Bill Burr (Breaking Bad) revealed that he has a part in the series:
I love how he likes to make fun of people who like Star Wars but is clearly psyched to be involved with The Mandalorian, in part because they’re shooting it “like a Spaghetti Western. He doesn’t say who he’ll play, but does mention that you can see the back of his head in the trailer. Eagle-eyed Redditor Netkid spotted him walking in front of Game of Thrones star Natalie Tena’s Twi’lek character:
That is some quality sleuthing. Kudos, internet.
In that same Reddit thread, there’s also a link to a special Mandalorian teaser shown only at April’s Star Wars Celebration in Chicago. We’re not going to put a direct link to it here, because Disney scares us, but you probably won’t have much trouble finding it somewhere in here…
Anyway, in that teaser, Burr is clearly shown as some sort of badass mercenary with duel blasters and a shoulder-mounted laser cannon.

Yeah, like I needed more reasons to be hyped about this show. The Mandalorian premieres on Disney’s new streaming service — Disney+ — on November 12.
