Take the Black Live: The Costumes of Game of Thrones, the Gender of James Bond

It’s time for another round of Take the Black Live, the show where we break down the latest and greatest news about all things sci-fi and fantasy, including, of course, all things Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire.

It’s a bit of a slow news week, but we’re nothing if not good at making our own fun. We take a look at the upcoming Game of Thrones: The Costumes, an upcoming coffee table book spotlighting the sartorial brilliance of the show, consider that poll about the popularity of season 8 that raised fans’ eyebrows a week back, and debate what Apple thinks it’s going to get out of See, a lavish new series where Jason Momoa has a protect a pair of sighted children in a post-apocalyptic world where everyone is blind.

And then we decide to wade into the torrid waters of identity politics and debate whether we’d like to see a female James Bond, because we’re gluttons for punishment. Enjoy!

The Take the Black Podcast is on iTunes and Google Play! Please subscribe and download from there if you can. Also, you can help us out by giving us a five-star rating and leaving a friendly comment! We’re also now on Spreaker, so try us there, as well.

We’ll be back live this upcoming Wednesday, September 18 at 4:00 p.m. CST. Join us on our Facebook page for our Game of Thrones Emmy preview!
