We’re less than a month away from the premiere of HBO’s Watchmen show. Picking up some 30 years after the events of Alan Moore’s classic graphic novel of the same name, Watchmen follows Angela Abar (Regina King), aka the masked vigilante Sister Night. She and her fellow officers — who all have to hide their faces behind masks to protect their families — try and stop a terrorist organization called the Seventh Cavalry, which goes around killing cops and wearing knock-off Rorschach masks.

The show is debuting in October, and HBO is going full speed ahead on the hype train. That means the cast and crew will be at this year’s New York Comic Con, talking up their work. Their panel will take place on Friday, October 4 at 3:45 p.m. EST.

I particularly like the caption under Jeremy Irons’ name: “Probably who you think he is.” Well played, HBO.

He’s playing Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias, a major character from the original comic. I’m not sure why they’re still bothering with the mystery, honestly. And we find out that Hong Chau is playing a character named Lady Trieu, which is news to me.

The rest of the panel has me interested as well. Will Cal Abar (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) wear a mask and kick ass alongside his wife, Angela? Will Jean Smart’s Laurie Blake dust off her Silk Specter costume and fight crime like she did in the old days?

What I really want to know is who is playing Doctor Manhattan? HBO and Lindelof have kept that secret close, so it could make a good reveal for the panel.

Watchmen premieres on October 20, only on HBO.
