The Droughtlander will end on February 16, 2020 when Outlander season 5 premieres on Starz. And fans of the series can’t wait to see what will happen, especially given the rollercoaster the show took us on in season 4. I can only imagine where the story will go next, but before we get into all things season 5, let’s do a quick recap of what happened last season.

Between all the time traveling and dramatic detours, by the end of season 4, all the Frasers end up in North Carolina as one big happy family. And while the gang’s all back together again, there’s a revolution on the horizon. Amidst this revolution, Jamie has been tasked with the responsibility of finding and turning in his best friend, Murtagh, who has been leading a group of rebels.

Jamie and Claire’s daughter, Brianna, went through the wringer in season 4 in an effort to warn her parents of the fire that was going to claim their lives. Leaving the love of her life Roger behind, Bree went through the stones, endured a very long journey, and suffered at the hands of the horrendous Stephen Bonnet, which resulted in her getting pregnant.

Eventually, Roger travels through the stones in pursuit of Brianna and has a complicated journey of his own. He finds Bree, getting involved with Bonnet’s shenanigans, is blamed for Brianna’s rape, is sold to a group of Mohawks, and then rescued. After learning Brianna’s baby might not be his, he leaves but eventually comes back to be with her.

And now you’re all caught up.

There is so much we want to see unfold in season 5, but somehow I’ve managed to whittle the list down to five things we desperately need to see. Let’s get right to them, shall we?
