We’re only 80 days away from the theatrical debut of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Very soon we should be getting the final trailer for the film, but for now, we can settle for some new images, courtesy of Empire Magazine.
The first new photo shows Supreme Leader Kylo Ren trying to reach something or someone while his First Order stormtroopers are being blown back. If I had to guess, I’d say the Millennium Falcon is taking off from some sort of hangar bay, and Kylo and his goons are trying to stop it.

Next, we have an ominous shot of the mysterious Knights of Ren. The only time we saw these guys was in a flashback scene in The Force Awakens, so it will be very exciting to see what they bring to the table.

I mean, are they former Jedi pupils of Luke Skywalker who left his new Jedi Order when Kylo Ren did? I need answers, J.J. Abrams. For guys who showed up just the once the Knights of Ren sure do inspire a lot of interest.
Empire also released some gorgeous covers for its big Star Wars issue. Check ’em out:
When you put the two collectible covers together, they show Rey and Kylo Ren crossing lightsabers. Very devious, Empire. You’re living up to your name.
