First images from AMC’s teen-centered Walking Dead spinoff

The Walking Dead returns for a 10th (!) season this Sunday on AMC. Fear the Walking Dead, a prequel show about the start of the apocalypse (at least at first), just wrapped up its fifth season, to pretty rough reviews. And AMC is readying a third Walking Dead show, this one about someplace in the world where life has stabilized enough for society to basically return to normal…as long as you don’t leave the confines of your safe bubble.

By the sound of it, the teenagers at the center of the series will do just that, because kids are weird like that.

Or at least that’s what the teaser makes it sound like. Even though this new show is going to debut this spring, we know very little about it, not even a name. But that hasn’t stopped AMC from releasing a cache of new images featuring its teenage heroes confronting walkers, wielding weapons, and finding time for friendship in the midst of the zombie apocalypse. Let’s take a look.

Cast members on the show include Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Annet Mahendru, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston and Nico Tortorella. That looks like a pretty normal classroom above. Why you kids gonna leave that to see stuff like this?
