Production on American Gods season 3 is underway, and casting news is starting to trickle in. Veteran actress Blythe Danner has been added to the show as the goddess Demeter, and shock-rocker Marilyn Manson signed on to play Johan Wengren, the lead singer for Viking death metal band Blood Death.

Both are perfect, obviously.

Now, according to Deadline, Ashley Reyes (The Play That Goes Wrong) and Herizen Guardiola (The Get Down) have inked deals to become the newest additions to the Starz show.

Reyes has been added as a series regular. She’s play Cordelia, a tech-savvy college dropout who is now working for Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane). The pair will drive across the United States meeting Wednesday’s weird god friends, Ashley helping with “tech stuff” unaware that she’s helping lay the groundwork for an epic war between the Old Gods and the New.

Guardiola, meanwhile, will have a recurring role as Oshun, the Yoruban goddess of love, purity, and fertility. While she may take a passive approach where her followers are concerned, Oshun is spiritually strong and uses her strength to help with Shadow’s (Ricky Whittle) own spiritual awakening.

Season 3 will find Shadow settling down in Lakeside, a sleepy town that, like all sleepy towns on television, is hiding a dark secret. Since learning he’s Wednesday’s son and therefore a demigod, he has some identity issues to work through. That’s apparently where Oshun and her followers will come in.
