Game of Thrones season 8 up for six Hollywood Professional Associations Awards

Coming off a strong performance at the 2019 Emmy Awards, the final season of Game of Thrones has nabbed six Hollywood Professional Associations Award nominations, edging out Avengers: Endgame for the most nods.

The HPAs honor the technical side of filmmaking, from color grading to editing to visual effects, all areas where Thrones stands out. Here’s what it’s nominated for:

As a technical awards show, I can’t imagine Game of Thrones not walking away with a lot of award gold. The Hollywood Professional Association awards ceremony takes place on November 21 in Los Angeles.
