New trailers for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Onward, and more

Just in case anyone is wondering, no, this is not a trailer for a movie version of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the stage play that continues Harry’s adventures after the end of J.K. Rowling’s book series. Warner Bros. would be silly not to do that eventually (Rupert Grint is down to play Adult Ron, for what it’s worth), but for now it’s not in the cards. Nope, we’re talking about a new trailer for the play, which is currently playing on Broadway in New York after demolishing the box office over in London. What do Harry and friends get up to after Voldemort is laid to rest? Take a look.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child mainly revolves around Harry’s son Albus, who’s having a hard time adjusting at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The play divided Potter fans, but it’s been a huge success, and probably won’t be going off the stage anytime soon. Ticket prices are apparently getting lower recently, so is you’re in New York for whatever reason this may be a good time to hop back aboard the Hogwarts Express.

In other trailer news, Pixar has released the trailer for its newest movie: Onward, a spin on epic fantasy stories starring Chris Pratt and Tom Holland as a pair of brothers (I think they’ve elves or something?) trying to reunite with their dead father. There are wizards and dragons and all kinds of fantasy stuff, but also it’s modern times. Twist!

Pixar’s movies are almost always worth a look, and clearly the actors had a good time making this one:

Finally, have you watched Finn Wolfhard on Stranger Things or in the IT movies and wondered if he could play someone really, really creepy? The trailer for The Turning is here to make your weird musings a reality.

The Turning is based on The Turn of the Screw by Henry James, an incredibly enduring ghost story first published in 1898.
