Seems like Brie Larson wants to be in a Star Wars movie, and more stuff

Brie Larson, who plays Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, really wants to be in a Star Wars movie. I mean, so do I, but I think she has the better chance. The star has been very vocal about her desire to be part of that galaxy far, far away on social media, and fans have noticed.

That was back in September, but recently, at ACE Comic Con, Larson posed with a lightsaber again, fueling the fires of fan speculation. And hey, Marvel boss Kevin Feige is about to help make a Star Wars movie. Maybe he brings over a couple of MCU transplants?

Nice mom jeans, Brie. I think she looks better with the Mace Windu lightsaber, but that’s just me.

Moving on to Star Wars video games, if you haven’t already, now is the time to preorder Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. If you’re into finding that perfect bundle for your collector’s edition, Esquire has put together a handy guide to the best deals out there, broken down by platform.

Back to movies, Entertainment Weekly has released a new photo from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker featuring Keri Russell’s character, Zorii Bliss. Check it out:

Zorii Bliss is a scoundrel and the leader of the Spice Runners from her home planet of Kijimi. Zorii and her crew tried to stayed out of the war between the First Order and the Resistance, but she may be pulled in by Poe Dameron, with whom she shares a mysterious connection. We’ll see how involved she gets when The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters in December.

Another Rise of Skywalker star — Naomi Ackie — teased her role to Total Film. “Jannah is a warrior,” she said of her character, “and she comes into contact with the rest of the group at a point where they need some help. She is part of the Resistance, and she’s spent a long time acquiring skills that might be helpful when it comes to the big conclusion of the film. So she shows up at the right time.”

Among those skills is her ability to ride an “orbak,” a kind of alien horse creature. “I was training for seven months, three times a week, at an amazing horse ranch called The Devil’s Horsemen,” she remembered. “By the end of it, I could canter without any hands. I could play catch with balls while on a horse… It’s the best part of the job – you get paid to learn!”

Finally, Variety reports that Rogue One writer Tony Gilroy has come about Disney’s upcoming Cassian Andor show on Disney+. Diego Luna will return to his Rogue One role, with Alan Tudyk reprising his scene-stealing role as the depressive droid K-2SO.
