Negan to meet Beta in “one of the funniest episodes of Walking Dead” yet

The Walking Dead fans: brace yourselves, because we’ll soon be watching the funniest episode of the series. That’s according to Ryan Hurst, who plays the creepy, frightening Beta, one of the terrifying Whisperers. Sure, he wears zombie skin over his face, but it doesn’t mean he’s forgotten how to laugh.
In an interview with Insider, Hurst elaborated on what to expect when Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) finally meets Beta. Negan is still a villain, but after getting to know Judith and Carl, he’s been simmered. So when he crosses this season’s big bad, what will that look like? Will he be intrigued? Will he want to join up? Or will he hate them just as much as everyone else does?
"Beta and Negan, they couldn’t be more diametrically opposite than anything. It’s this stone-faced immovable person and then you have his mouthpiece who just will not shut up. The first episode that you see Beta and Negan together is one of the funniest episodes of Walking Dead that you’ve ever seen. It’s still very bloody, still very Walking Dead, but there’s more levity in that episode than in any that I’ve ever seen of the show."
If you’re familiar with The Walking Dead comics, you know a little about how things may go, although the show is always free to take it in another direction.
Anyway, I’m also eager to see how Alpha (Samantha Morton) reacts to Negan. He’s just the kind of character who brings out new things in people we already know.
But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. It’s still unclear how this meeting will come about. Maybe the Whisperers will storm Alexandria and Negan will have to help fight them off. Or maybe Negan and the Whisperers will bond over a mutual love of farming. Honestly, anything can happen.
