Watch Maisie Williams eat hot wings and talk Game of Thrones

As Arya Stark on Game of Thrones, Maisie Williams has accomplished quite a lot. She became a faceless assassin, killed all the men of House Frey in one fell swoop, executed Littlefinger for betraying her father, killed more wights than anyone in the Battle of Winterfell, then slew the Night King — saving all of humanity in the process — as an encore.

And that’s just her acting career. Williams also created a platform for young artists and creative minds to collaborate with each other on her social media app, Daisie. To say the actress has braved the worst that acting and the world of tech-business can throw at her would be an understatement.

So, what’s left to challenge her? Well, vegan hot wings, of course. Enter YouTube channel Hot Ones from First We Feast, where host Sean Evans has celebrities on and asks them questions about their lives while challenging them to eat hot wings that gradually grow hotter with each new wing.

As an animal rights activist, Williams chose to eat cauliflower hot wings — instead of chicken — and was a good sport through the entire segment. Check it out:

Let’s break down the Game of Thrones bits from Maisie Williams hilariously setting her mouth on fire:

  • Willaims recounted how she almost missed her Game of Thrones audition because she wanted to go on a school field trip to a pig farm. “My mom really put her foot down and I was kinda mad about it, I really wanted to go on that school trip,” she said. “I wouldn’t be here today, you wouldn’t want me on the show if I’d have gone to the pig farm.” Thank God for mom.
  • She confirmed that showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss would regularly prank cast members about the characters dying unexpectedly. “They told Alfie Allen that he was killed by Bran in a really anticlimactic way and they didn’t tell Isaac they were doing the joke, so then he texted Isaac and Isaac was like, ‘I don’t know what they’re talking about,'” Williams said.
"They did another one on Kit Harington [Jon Snow] where they said he got really aggressively mauled on the face and he’d have a huge disfigurement on his beautiful chiseled jaw. That was quite funny, poor guy."

BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND – JUNE 24: Queen Elizabeth II meets cast members of the HBO TV series ‘Game of Thrones’ Lena Headey and Conleth Hill as she views some of the props including the Iron Throne on set in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter on June 24, 2014 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. • When Queen Elizabeth II visited the Iron Throne, she did not sit on it, but everyone there really wanted her to. “She looked at it and said that doesn’t look very comfy. Comfortable, she wouldn’t have said comfy, it’s Queen Elizabeth!”
  • When she landed the role of Arya, she went online and read everything she could about the character and found out she was left-handed (Maisie is right-handed), and she learned how rabid fans wanted everything on the show to be book-accurate, so she learned to fight with her left hand. When she came in to learn her fight choreography, if the trainer had her fighting with her right hand, she’d inform them they did it incorrectly and she would be back when they were better prepared. Maisie Williams is a badass.
  • Williams was super flattered when Drake gave Arya a shoutout at the Billboard Music Awards. “Shout out to Arya Stark for putting in that work last week,” he said.
"I was like, wow, it was really exciting. I wasn’t there, so it was afterwards in my room, I kinda wish I was there!"
  • Willaims enjoys seeing Arya as one of the top baby names, and if she wasn’t on the show she’d totally name her daughters Arya and Sansa, played by her best friend Sophie Turner. “It’d be weird if I did it now, this is Arya, this is Sansa, they’re my children,” she laughed. “It would just be strange.”
  • She also mentioned the fact that Diplo was at Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’ wedding. It was “quite the party.”

I highly suggest you watch the video in its entirety because Willaims makes it all the way to the hottest wing. She has tears in her eyes, her tongue is numb, she’s visibly sweating and shivering, and her ears are burning. In all honesty, I wouldn’t have made it as far as she did.

“I made a huge mistake,” she said as she swallowed the last bite. No, Maisie, you’re just a braver person than me, and I salute you.
