Jason Momoa talks new gig, Maisie Williams is a malware risk, and more
By Ariba Bhuvad
Jason Momoa has a lot to look forward to. First off, he’s got the Apple TV+ series, See, premiering with the service on November 1.
And then there’s Aquaman 2 to prep for. Who knew Khal Drogo would have so much going on in his post-Game of Thrones life?
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Momoa reflected on how Game of Thrones helped prepare him for a show like See.
"There’s a lot of shows that prepared me for ‘Game Of Thrones’ and this is just a continuation. You know, I never got to fight on ‘Game Of Thrones,’ I never got to have babies and then grow old and be married, so this is all the things I never got to exercise. A lot of things didn’t really happen [on ‘Thrones’.] I just fell in love and then I died. I can do more! I can speak English! I can smile!"
And we’ll get to see it.

While Momoa is busy with his career, marrieds Rose Leslie (Ygritte) and Kit Harington (Jon Snow) have something more pressing on their minds. According to The Scottish Sun, Leslie’s father had to turn to her for money after their family castle was repossessed. And yes, they have a CASTLE.
"I can’t tell you how much they gave me but they were very generous. Asking your daughter for money is a very difficult thing to do. But it will be a price worth paying if we can get justice for 3,000 people."
I guess it pays when your daughter and son-in-law are Rose Leslie and Kit Harington!
LOS ANGELES, CA – SEPTEMBER 17: Actress Nathalie Emmanuel arrives at HBO’s Post Emmy Awards Reception at the Plaza at the Pacific Design Center on September 17, 2018 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Emma McIntyre/Getty Images)
Meanwhile, on Twitter, Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) is defending Katie Jarvis, an Eastenders actress who was shamed in the tabloid the Daily Star for working as a security guard at a B&M store. Emmanuel, who worked retail jobs while pursuing acting before she landed the role of Missandei on Thrones, is quick to point out how unfair such criticisms are:
And now for some bizarre news: according to a report from cybersecurity firm McAfee, searching for “Maisie Williams” puts you at risk of contracting a computer virus.
Well, it’s a little more complicated than that. I’ll let McAfee’s Raj Samani explain:
"People want to keep up to date with the latest pop culture and celebrity news at any time from any device. Often consumers put that speed and convenience over security by clicking on suspicious links that promise content featuring our favorite celebrities."
So basically, cybercriminals take advantage of people’s interest in Maisie Williams by luring them in with fraudulent links about her, and then when they click…malware, viruses, all manner of badness.
Williams actually comes in second on McAfee’s annual poll of most dangerous celebrities to search, beaten out only by Love Island host Caroline Flack. Third is latenight host James Corden, then Nicki Minaj, and then singer Billie Eilish. Also in the top 10 are Josh Gad, Mischa Barton, Sam Smith, Dua Lipa and Liam Hemsworth.
So…congratulations?
