Stranger Things 4 to begin filming in January 2020

It’s looking like Stranger Things season 4 will likely have eight episodes, according to TVLine. Of course, Netflix has yet to give the official confirmation but it seems like the number eight is where the Duffer Brothers are finding the most happiness with.

While we wait for Netflix to confirm or deny the eight-episode count for season 4, we can look forward to production beginning fairly soon. It looks like filming will begin in January with the goal to finish up by August.

Based on that alone, we’re not going to get a summer premiere this time around but maybe, just maybe, we’ll have a new season to watch around Halloween 2020, just like in season 2.

I think we have a lot to look forward to when Stranger Things returns for its fourth season, mainly the answer to the question: is Hopper alive or what? Ever since the season 3 finale, fans have been theorizing, guessing, and anticipating that the American in the Russian prison is our loveable, chain-smoking, curmudgeon of a sheriff.

We can only hope that we haven’t seen the last of him just yet, but there are still a couple of other people that it could be. But, I’m just going to go to my happy place and imagine it’s Hopper, and Hopper only.

The biggest mystery about Stranger Things season 4 is the whole idea that the portals can transport people out of Hawkins. Hence, why Russia is a very probable location for the season. Maybe the group travels through the portal, ends up in Russia, and FINDS HOPPER. We can hope, right?

Looks like we’ll have to hang on for just a little bit longer before we can find any of that out. But let’s all cross our fingers for a reunion Eleven is most desperately wishing for.
