Big news for the little guy: Ant-Man 3 is officially happening!

facebooktwitterreddit

Ant-Man 3 is officially a go! Hip hip, hooray! Better yet, director Peyton Reed is all set to return (thank goodness!) after directing the first two installments. This means we can expect the Ant-Man series to maintain the laid-back, goofy, chill vibe that we’ve all come to love.

The Hollywood Reporter comes bearing this wonderful news late last week. It’s terrific, but it leaves me asking questions. Where does Ant-Man stand after the events of Avengers: Endgame? Where will the third installment take this tiny (and occasionally giant) hero? Will Wasp and the rest of the crew return?

Oh, and let’s not forget that Ant-Man can basically time travel now. The possibilities are many.

I won’t blame Ant-Man if he spends most of the third installment messing around with this new abilities and in and out of the Quantum Realm, visiting kings and seeing the Beatles live in concert or something. The whole time travel business can really change the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as can the addition of super-powerful new heroes like Captain Marvel. Phase 4 is wide open.
