Gaze upon new images from the final season of Vikings!

History will air the first half of the sixth and final season of Vikings on December 4, and it promises to be a bloody good time.

Now, new promotional images tease the violence to come. First up, ‎Danila Kozlovsky looks menacing as the Rus prince Oleg. This still looks like it comes from Oleg’s meeting with Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen):

In the trailer, Oleg declares his intention to invade Scandinavia with Ivar by his side, so we’ll probably see a lot more of him cleaning blood of his hands this season.

Next up, Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith) bounced back from the injuries he sustained in season 5. He looks concerned about something offscreen:

Going from menace to mystery, below we have King Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig) meeting with Kjetill Flatnose (Adam Copeland):

Kjettill was last seen wreaking bloody vengeance in Iceland. No doubt Bjorn is inquiring about Floki’s (Gustaf Skarsgård) fate. Given Kjetill’s homicidal (and cannibalistic) tendencies, we’re worried for Bjorn, just a bit.

Meanwhile, Ludwig himself shared a whole slew of images from season 6 on his Instagram:

We see everyone from Bjorn’s main squeeze Gunnhild (Ragga Ragnars) to his mother and former queen of Kettegat herself Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick). But Bjorn reuniting with his kids is my favorite image. I’m sure this season will bring plenty of violence, so let’s enjoy this tender moment while we can.

With one month to go before the final season airs, we’re washing out our drinking horns and sharpening our axes as we wait to see who will enter Valhalla next. Between the Rus attempting to conquer all of Scandinavia and Ivar up to his old tricks, we’re guessing there will be more than a few Vikings drinking with Odin by the end. Skoal!
