New teasers for Crisis on Infinite Earths, Doctor Who, Westworld and more
By Dan Selcke
Hey, everyone! A whole bunch of teasers and trailers for upcoming shows broke over the weekend. Let’s run through ’em.
First up, The CW dropped a teaser for its highly anticipated adaptation of Crisis on Infinite Earths, an epic crossover event that will bring together several of the networks superhero shows, including Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow. It’s also bringing in superheroes from “other realities,” including Brandon Routh as Superman Returns Superman, Tom Welling as Smallville Superman, etc.
The CW’s going big with this one. Watch the teaser below:
Crisis will mark the end of Arrow, the CW superhero show that started it all, so I guess the network has an obligation to do something major.
Next up, the official Doctor Who Twitter account dropped another teaser for the upcoming twelfth season:
Or at least I think it’s for the twelfth season. Doctor Who has been putting out lots of little teases lately, starting with this one, featuring the silhouette of Jodie Whittaker’s Thirteenth Doctor:
Whatever announcement the Doctor Who crew is cooking up, it’ll come on Tuesday, November 19.
Westworld season 3 premieres sometime next year. HBO is getting things rolling with a fake commercial for a technology company called Incite. Watch below:
What does Incite do, exactly? It’s hard to tell based on this ad, but I’m sure it has nothing to do with diluting our humanity and ushering in a terrifying age of robot dominion. Nope nope nope.
Hey, did you know that Showtime is putting together a show based on Halo, the first-person video game series? Well, they are, and production has begun:
And finally, SyFy has released a teaser for the upcoming fifth season of The Magicians, which airs in January. It looks like the gang will be working through the loss of lead character Quentin Coldwater (Jason Ralph):
And that’s literally everything happening in pop culture. See you next…oh, there are more TV shows than these five? Okay, I guess we’ll keep writing.
