Arrow has officially wrapped production on its final season

And just like that, Arrow has officially wrapped production on its eighth and final season. However did we get here?! I think I speak for a lot of fans when I say that it’s been amazing to see the DCTV Universe succeed in such a big way. The same cannot be said for the DCU movies, unfortunately, but one out of two ain’t bad.

Arrow has been an integral part of DCTV because it is the show that started it all. Shows like The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning and Batwoman have succeeded because Arrow paved the way. It’s hard to process that we’re this close to the end.

The cast and crew have been posting on social media all week to say their goodbyes. Arrow co-creator Marc Guggenheim shared his feelings on Twitter — you might want to grab a box of tissues for this one.

Katie Cassidy, aka the Black Canary, shared an image of her and Willa Holland on the last day of filming. Aren’t we so glad Thea came back one last time?!

The tearful, heartfelt goodbyes continued with David Paul Ramsey, our always and forever Diggle:

After eight seasons of adventures, twists, and turns, it’s hard to say goodbye. Luckily for fans, we don’t have to just yet. We still have a handful of Arrow episodes left, including the biggest crossover the DCTV universe has ever had: Crisis on Infinite Earths.
