Feast your eyes on new photos from Star Trek: Picard

In January of next year, Sir Patrick Stewart is finally returning to the final frontier as he embarks on a new adventure as Jean-Luc Picard. It’s been 18 years since Stewart was in a Starfleet uniform, with Star Trek: Picard picking up 20 years after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis and the destruction of Romulus.

When we catch up with Picard, he’ll be running his own vineyard with his trusty pooch, Number One. He’s sad about the death of his android pal Data, and he’s troubled about the loss of life that occurred when Romulus was destroyed. Picard will come into contact with a girl who is clearly not who she seems to be, and Picard takes it upon himself to help her, which means cobbling together an all-new crew aboard a ship that is not the Enterprise.

With the premiere of the show a mere two months away, CBS All Access has released a bevy of official photos to feast our eyes upon. Let’s get started.

First up, Picard will get to interact with several members of the Next Generation cast. Here he is sharing a smile with William Riker (Jonathan Frakes):

Below, I can’t tell if Picard has his hands up to show he’s not armed or because he’s had enough of Raffi Musiker’s (Michelle Hurd) shit. Raffi is a former Starfleet intelligence officer struggling with substance abuse, so either scenario is possible.

Raffi’s boyfriend is Rios (Santiago Cabrera). He’s a skilled thief, a former officer of Starfleet, and the pilot of Picard’s new ship.

Here we have Dahj (Isa Briones) and Narek (Harry Treadaway) sharing a tender moment. Dahj is the young woman who comes to Picard for help and kicks off this new adventure. Narek is a Romulan agent who joins Picard’s crew. He’s investigating what his people are doing with Borg drones.

Next, we have Elnor (Evan Evagora) with Picard. Elnor is a Romulan with expertise in hand-to-hand combat and fierce loyalty to Picard.

Elnor is probably teaching Picard some ancient Romulan prayer technique. Either that or we’re catching them mid-Patty Cake.
