The competition never bothered Elsa anyway. Frozen 2 killed it at the box office over Thanksgiving weekend (Wednesday-Sunday). In fact, it even surpassed the Thanksgiving record previously held by The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

How much exactly did it bring in? A whopping $123.7 million over the 5-day holiday weekend! For comparison’s sake, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire brought in $109 million, but its reign has come to an end. The first Frozen movie made around $93 million two weeks into its own holiday release back in 2013. It’s hard to believe that movie came out six years ago.

At this point, Frozen 2 is set to cross the $1 billion mark at the box office before the end of the year. Pull this off is becoming alarmingly easy for Disney. How long before studios start aiming for the $10 billion mark? Anyway, with returns this good, you have to think that Frozen 3 will be coming along sooner or later, featuring the further adventures of Elsa, Anna and Olaf in Arendale and beyond.

Frozen 2 wasn’t the only thing people were watching post-Thanksgiving turkey. Rian Johnson’s Knives Out pulled in around $41.7 million over the weekend, according to Deadline. We love ourselves a classic whodunnit!

After that, there’s a dropoff. Ford v Ferrari ($18.99), Mr. Rogers biopic A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood ($11.8 million) and Queen and Slim ($15.8 million) all had decent showings, but this weekend belonged to Frozen II.
