Alys Karstark meets her end in deleted Game of Thrones scene

Pop quiz, everyone: When facing an undead army, is it better to keep your forces together, or send them out in smaller groups to die horribly before the real fight even starts?

That’s the question Theon Greyjoy and Alys Karstark are faced with in a deleted scene from “The Long Night,” during the Battle of Winterfell. The scene debuted on IGN, and clearly, the pair of them made the wrong choice. Watch below:

Look, I’m not saying that Theon purposefully sent out Alys and her cadre of Karhold men to die fighting those squirrely wights in the Winterfell godswood so he could get a big dramatic death scene to himself later, but I’m not not saying it.

But seriously, I’m glad this scene was cut. It’s not like a handful of fighters would have even mattered once the Night King found his way to Bran, but I don’t like that the characters were operating on horror movie logic here. Stick together, guys.
