Welcome to the Game of Thrones celebrity roundup, where we catch you up on what the many splendid stars of HBO’s megahit are doing with themselves now that the show is over. Let’s start with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), who appeared on CNN to talk about his work with the United Nations Development Programme, for which he went to the Amazon to raise awareness about the wildfires that ripped through the world’s largest tropical rainforest:

Coster-Waldau has long been active when it comes to issues of climate and the environment, so I’m not surprised to see him getting the word out here.

Also taking a stand a stand is Carice Van Houten (Melisandre), who pulled out of a panel discussion on Belgian television after learning the show would also be hosting Christoph D’Haese, the mayor of the town of Aalst. D’Haese has come under fire recently for defending the city’s annual carnival, which last March featured a float manned by effigies of grinning Jewish caricatures grinning Jews holding money, one carrying a rat on its shoulder. The float has been widely condemned, including by Belgium’s UNIA watchdog group and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. With D’Haese still defending it, I’m not surprised Van Houten pulled out of the appearance.

So that’s some heavy stuff. Let’s lighten things up with some pictures of cast members having unexpected encounters. For example, here’s Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) with Will Ferrell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus:

They’re all in a comedy-drama called Downhill together, about skiing. This picture didn’t just happen by coincidence, fun as that would be.

In other news, look what happened when Lena Headey (Cersei) and Hannah Waddingham (Septa Unella) reunite on the street:

Adorable! Way cuter than the last time they interacted on Game of Thrones.

And now what we’ve all come here to see: Game of Thrones stars wearing the hell out of clothes, starting with Maisie Williams (Arya) in a double-denim two-piece:

Gwendoline Christie (Brienne) dresses for the Miami sunshine:

Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) looks resplendent in red at the 2019 Fashion Awards in London:

Love the bow in the back.

Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) was at the same event, looking queenly in yellow:

Hooray for clothes!
