Descriptions of the next four Mandalorian episodes, including the finale
By Corey Smith
The Mandalorian, which has captured the hearts of the entire galaxy with its tale of a gruff bounty hunter (Pedro Pascal) and his unbelievably adorable sidekick, airs new episodes every Friday on Disney+. However, the penultimate episode — the seventh of eight — is going to air on Wednesday, December 18. Presumably, Disney moved it so the episode wouldn’t compete with The Rise of Skywalker, which blasts into theaters on Friday, December 20.
This means we get the further adventures of Mando and Baby Yoda two days early, which is great. But that also means we’ll have to wait longer for the season 1 finale. I guess we could just rewatch the entire series between December 18 and Friday, December 27. Or go see Rise of Skywalker.
Speaking of Mandalorian episodes, Disney has released short synopsis for the next four installments:
- Chapter Five — “The Mandalorian helps a rookie bounty hunter who is in over his head.”
- Chapter Six — “The Mandalorian joins a crew of mercenaries on a dangerous mission.”
- Chapter Seven — “An old rival extends an invitation for The Mandalorian to make peace.”
- Chapter Eight — “The Mandalorian comes face-to-face with an unexpected enemy.”
Chapter Five sounds like more of the Mandalorian proving there’s a heart of gold under that shiny armor, while it sounds like Chapters Seven and Eight will see the Bounty Hunting guild finally catch up with him. Grief Karga (Carl Weathers) can hardly be happy with the Mandalorian running off with his bounty, nor for shooting Karga in the chest during his escape. And let’s not forget about the Client (Werner Herzog). And we still haven’t met Giancarlo Esposito’s former Imperial officer character.
No matter what happens, fans will continue to have their heart strings tugged on by a little green ball of joy and light. And that’s all we ever wanted.
