Scarlett Johansson had a bit of a challenge while on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert the other night. Given the intense secrecy and hush-hush nature of anything related to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she struggled to avoid leaking anything about the upcoming Black Widow movie.

Of all the latenight hosts, Colbert is probably the most steeped in geekdom, so he didn’t make it easy on poor Scarlett. Of course, Disney and Marvel have impressed upon all of their actors the vital importance of keeping their lips sealed. (Not that it always works.)

“I can’t say anything!” she said. “Now you’re getting me all wound up, I’m afraid something’s gonna slip, and [gesticulating wildly] my palms are sweaty.” I also loved her scanning the audience looking for possible Marvel plants.

You got through it, Scarlett. Well done.

I guess we’ll just have to sit tight and wait until May 1 to find out what goes down in Black Widow. In the meantime, feel free to feast your eyes on new posters for Birds of Prey, the Harley Quinn movie coming out February 7.

Characters!

And finally, back in the MCU, Tom Holland reveals how he helped mend the Spider-Man-sized rift between Sony and Marvel by taking a call from Disney CEO Bob Iger while aggressively tipsy (relevant part starts about 10 minutes in):

And that is all the superhero news fit to report for the next 30 or so seconds.
