WiC Watches: The Mandalorian

Disney+, Disney’s new streaming service, is relying on The Mandalorian to become its big original hit, and the company’s PR machine has been working overtime leading up to launch. If anything can be considered a surefire winner, it’s a Star Wars-themed action series.

We know Disney has sunk plenty of money into this show, so the production values and CGI will most certainly be stellar. There are some big names attached, including creator/writer Jon Favreau (Iron Man), plus a stellar cast that includes Game of Thrones veteran Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell) in the lead role, and Gina Carano (Cara Dune), Carl Weathers (Greef Carga), Giancarlo Esposito (Mof Gideon), Nick Nolte (the Ugnaught) and Werner Herzog (The Client) in supporting parts.
