Kit Harington: “I think about Jon Snow all the time”

Stepping out alongside alongside wife and former Game of Thrones costar Rose Leslie (Ygritte), Kit Harington (Jon Snow) attended last night’s Golden Globe awards as the show’s only nominated performer. Sporting a simple but elegant black-on-black tuxedo, Harington was feeling the pressure as the show’s lone standard bearer when talking to Ryan Seacrest. “I haven’t got my gang,” he said. “It’s odd. I haven’t been to these things without the rest of us around. So I’m a little jealous of the Succession dudes.” Aren’t we all?

It might surprise you to learn that Harington was the only Game of Thrones star nominated for an award, for “Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series (Drama).” But that’s pretty consistent with how the Golden Globes have approached the show over the years. It only has one win: Peter Dinklage snagged a Best Supporting Actor award for his work as Tyrion Lannister in the very first season. And Harington lost the award last night to Succession star Brian Cox.

Still, Harington did not let the long odds dampen his enthusiasm for Jon Snow. “I think about him all the time,” he said. “It was always just getting into costume the first day back, getting into that outfit and just sort of being back on set, back with him on character. I loved it. It’s in retrospect that you start loving it. It does go by fast. Ten years, like that.”

And now the part that really matters: people wearing clothes! First up, a clearer look at Harington in his all-black suit:

Leslie looked stunning in an understated green dress:

While Harington was the only person there representing Game of Thrones, there were a few other cast members there for other things, like Tobias Menzies (Edmure Tully), who was there with the cast of The Crown:

And finally, Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) made like Leslie and also wore green, this time a…green velvet jacket with matching necklace?

Obviously he was just wearing a tank top under the jacket:

You’re not gonna tell Aquaman he can’t be comfortable.
