Booking is now open for the Game of Thrones Studio Tour, an interactive dedication to HBO’s megahit that will feature props, sets, costumes and more from the show, all of them housed at Linen Mill Studios in Corbet-Banbridge, Northern Ireland, one of the series’ principal filming locations.

We know that the tour is opening this year, but now, we know some of the specifics thanks to a new report in The Irish News:

  • The plan is to open the tour to the public by the fourth quarter of this year.
  • A large park and ride facility that can accommodate up to 350 is to be built nearby the tour buildings, which will measure about 110,000 square feet when done.
  • Linen Mill Studios and HBO are projecting about 600,000 visitors per year, about three-fourths of them coming in from outside Northern Ireland. Game of Thrones pumped a lot of money into the local economy while it was filming, and hopefully it can continue to do that even after it’s off the air.
  • Relatedly, the venture is expected to employ 194 people when it’s up and running.
  • The Game of Thrones Studio Tour will be open 12 hours per day, seven days a week.
  • There will be a restaurant “designed to replicate the studio catering experience.” Let’s hope it’s not too true to life.

The Winterfell great hall will form the centerpiece of the tour. The organizers have already mocked up what that might look like:

There are some other mock-ups of the interiors, too:

And the entrance just for good measure:

I think I could live there.
