Big bands and Black Mask in the second trailer for Birds of Prey
Warner Bros. has put out the second trailer for its Harley Quinn movie, Birds of Prey. Congrats to Margot Robbie for being the only actor from Suicide Squad to making it out with her dignity intact!
Robbie is joined by an ensemble cast that includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya and Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain. It’s a who’s who of DC’s women superheroes, all ready to cut loose against Ewan McGregor’s Black Mask.
The trailer is a ton of fun, as any film about a character as nutso as Harley Quinn should be:
“I named him Bruce after that hunky Wayne guy,” Harley says about her pet hyena. Cute. Birds of Prey hits theaters on February 7.
If TV is more your thing, we’ve also got a new trailer for Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet, an original Apple TV+ series about a massively multiplayer online fantasy video game, and the hell the developers went through to make it:
That’s Rob McElhenney from Always Sunny In Philadelphia as the oblivious boss since Michael Scott; McElhenney executive produced the series with Always Sunny costar Charlie Day. The cast has some heavyweights in it, including Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham, as well as Danny Pudi, Imani Hakim, Charlotte Nicadao, David Hornsby, Ashly Burch and Jessie Ennis.
Silicon Valley ended last year, so maybe it’s time for a new satire about the tech industry. Like Birds of Prey, Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet also drops on February 7, so you’ll have something to watch when you get home from the theater.
Finally, there’s a brief new trailer for the fifth season of Better Call Saul on AMC:
Breaking rank, Better Call Saul season 5 drops on February 23. It’s gonna be a busy month.
