A man has pleaded guilty to stealing $48,000 worth of merchandise from his job on the Warner Bros Studio Tour in London. Yes, $48,000. Colleagues of Adam Hill begun to take notice of the pile of merchandise under his desk, and when the pile began increasing and then decreasing every so often, it became quite clear what he was up to.

Hill stole everything from wands to ties to keychains to sell on eBay for profit. Who is in charge of inventory at the studio tour? And why didn’t anyone notice the missing items? I think someone needs to have a conversation with whoever is responsible for that department, just saying.

Jan Muller of the Crown Prosecution Services released a statement regarding the incident, outlining the details of the theft (which included 1,040 items!) sold between December 2017 and March 2018. Once the investigation into this debacle commenced, authorities even found 12 packages in Hill’s car that were ready to be posted for sale.

"In a significant breach of trust, Adam Hill had the audacity to steal thousands of pounds of merchandise from Warner Bros in plain sight of his work colleagues; but they reported him after growing suspicious of the items constantly piling up under his desk. Subsequent scrutiny of Hill’s eBay and PayPal accounts revealed orders and payments received for goods which were found packaged up ready to send to buyers, giving him no option but to admit to his crimes."

No spell could get Hill out of this mess. He’ll serve 14 months in prison, an 18-month suspension, and 250 hours unpaid work at St Albans Crown Court.

Accio justice.

Yep, Colin Farrell is playing the Penguin. dark. Next
