Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) and Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer) will share the big screen together this Christmas in director Denis Villeneuve’s Dune movie. But that’s not all! According to Deadline, the two will also share the small screen in the second season of See, Apple TV+’s ridiculously expensive post-apocalyptic epic.

If you’re unfamiliar, See takes place hundreds of years in mankind’s future, when most of humanity has been wiped out and those who remain are all blind, because of…reasons. That is, until twins are born gifted with sight! Momoa plays their adoptive father, Baba Voss (yes, that’s his name). He and their mother protect them from people who believe them to be witches and fear their sight will bring on another apocalyptic war.

So the premise is a little silly, but the show did its best to make things feel grounded, and even had Momoa and his castmates train with blindness consultants to learn how to fight without sight.

By and large, people seemed the agree that season 1 missed the mark, but Apple is forging ahead. Will bringing on someone like Bautista attract more viewers?

Apparently, this will be Bautista’s first major television role, but the actor has been plenty busy, what with Dune, Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead movie for Netflix, and of course further appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The other day, Bautista tweeted out a picture of himself as Drax alongside Momoa as Aquaman, leading some outlets to speculate that he was teasing a fight between them in the Dune movie. But it could have easily been about See.

Anyway, along with Momoa, Bautista will be joining returning cast members Alfre Woodard (Paris), Hera Hilmar (Maghra), Sylvia Hoeks (Queen Kane) and Christian Carmago (Tamacti Jun). There’s no release date for See season 2 yet, and we don’t see one materializing for a while.

See what I did there? I’ll show myself out.

Next. There are two more live-action Star Trek shows in the works. dark
