I consider myself pretty informed about most forms of Game of Thrones merchandise, but this is news to me: according to trading card site Beckett, trading card company Rittenhouse is putting out a line of cards based on the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones…and apparently they’ve been putting out cards inspired by each new season for a while now, although I was obviously not paying enough attention. What’s more, the cards have some cool features, so let’s take a closer look.

Per Beckett, there are lots of different kinds of cards included in this new line, and 60 new ones in all. Some cards highlight costumes, some include quotes, and the most interesting feature autographs from cast members, and occasional notes.

Participating cast members reportedly include Pilou Asbaek (Euron Greyjoy), Sean Bean (Ned Stark), Richard Brake (The Night King), Nikolaj Coster Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei), Jerome Flynn (Bronn), Finn Jones (Loras Tyrell), Sibel Kekkili (Shae), Rose Leslie (Ygritte), Kristian Nairn (Hodor), Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton), Hannah Waddingham (Septa Unella), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Tom Wlaschiha (Jaqen H’ghar) and Miltos Yerolemou (Syrio Forel), although I very much doubt any of their personalized notes are going to beat the one written by Rory McCann (the Hound):

Top that.

The cards will go on sale on March 20, 2020. There are five cards per pack, 20 packs per box, and 12 boxes per case. I’ll leave it to you to decide how many you need.
