Kylo Ren makes an appearance in the Star Wars Resistance finale

The Star Wars Resistance series finale airs this coming Sunday, and Disney XD has released a preview for the one-hour episode, and it features the one-and-only Kylo Ren (voiced by Adam Driver sound-alike Matthew Wood). And from the look of things, our heroes are going to be in for the fight of their lives as the First Order has finally tracked them down. Escape might not be an option this time. Check it out:

“I will not suffer the existence of any Resistance cell,” says Supreme Leader Kylo Ren through the holocomm. Was he starting to Force-choke Agent Tierny at the end there? What is it with Dark Side baddies always Force-choking subordinates through the holocomm?

It’s important to note that this episode takes place right before the events of The Rise of Skywalker. In fact, the Colossus (the enormous refueling platform that has been home to our heroes since the series premiere) has visited many areas that were featured in the films, such as the planet of D’qar, where the First Order and the Resistance fought a huge battle above the planet.

In Star Wars Resistance, the Colossus arrives after that battle and begins to harvest the dreadnaught destroyed by the Resistance for its hyperdrive fuel.

Personally, Star Wars Resistance has been my least favorite Star Wars animated show produced since Disney acquired Lucasfilm. The animation is fine, but the main characters don’t have a lot of depth.

Still, at least it can end strong. Tune in to Disney XD on Sunday and find out how Star Wars Resistance wraps up.
