Outlander’s Sam Heughan on being next James Bond: “It’s not a no”
By Ariba Bhuvad
Sam Heughan as the next James Bond would be pretty much every Outlander’s fan dream come true. I mean, just the prospect of it gives me goosebumps.
While speaking with Good Morning Britain, our adorable Jamie Fraser, er, Sam Heughan, was being quite coy and shy when asked to address the rumors that he maight take over as Bond when Daniel Craig leaves following the release of No Time To Die this April. He didn’t say much, but what he did say might have been enough: “It’s not a no.”
So, can it be a yes? Pretty please? Just as long as it doesn’t take him away from his Fraser family duties on Outlander, I’m game. I mean, if Rami Malek can pull off playing a villain in No Time To Die while working on Mr. Robot, then Heughan can do the same, in my opinion.
At this point, a ton of people have been linked to the bond role, including Tom Hiddleston, Richard Madden, Tom Hardy, Lashana Lynch, and more. Heughan is just one more face, although I think we can agree he’s a pretty good one.
Someone has to replace Craig as Bond, right? Much to my disappointment, it likely won’t be a woman, at least according to James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli. So with that being the case, if there is anyone who could effortlessly step into the role, it’s Heughan.
And luckily, “It’s not a no.”
