Maisie Williams sings “Let It Go” in Super Bowl commercial, and other celebrity stuff
During her years playing Arya Stark on Game of Thrones, Maisie Williams demonstrated a great many talents: she was a great physical actor who had a way with stunts, she had the most expressive face in the business, and she sliced and diced real nice.
However, we never saw Williams sing. When would Arya have had occasion to belt something out? I don’t know, but I think we can all agree that it was a missed opportunity. But now, Williams has an enormous stage for his musical talents, as she’s sings “Let It Go” from Frozen in an Audi ad set to run during the damn Super Bowl:
Wow, who knew Arya had such powerful pipes? It sounds like Williams believes in the product, too. “Creating a sustainable, livable future for generations to come is the world’s most important challenge,” she said in a statement. “I’m proud to share Audi’s vision for sustainable mobility in this global brand campaign.”
Speaking of making a difference, Kit Harington (Jon Snow) has teamed with the charity Mencap to help raise money to help people living with learning disabilities. He’s an official Mencap ambassador for this year’s London Marathon. You can hear it straight from the man himself below:
Harington is there with Alex and Laurent, his cousins. “Laurent is one of the 1.5 million people in this country with a learning disability,” Harington says, “and Mencap’s work is to make sure that people such as Laurent are visible in our society and able to live the life that they deserve…So please support my cousin in his run of the 2020 marathon and support people like Laurent and Mencap which is a fantastic charity.”

Moving on, John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) is going to star in a film about famous English comedian Les Dawson:
Dawson was known for his deadpan style, piano playing, and lots of jokes about his mother-in-law and wife. Bradley will play a younger version of Dawson, while fellow Game of Thrones alum Mark Addy (King Robert Baratheon) will play the comedian later in life. We love a reunion!
And now…pictures! Here’s Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) looking limber in a Reebok ad:
Elsewhere, Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) hangs out with a bunch of other cutups from the cast of the new comedy Downhill:
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Will Ferrell…those are some impressive elbows Hivju is rubbing with!
Zach Woods (Silicon Valley, The Office, Veep, Avenue 5) is part of Downhill, too. Coincidentally enough, Pilou Asbæk (Euron Greyjoy) also posted a picture of him just hanging out with the actor:
Okay, so Woods has gotten pictures with two of Westeros’ finest. Just several dozen to go.
