Game of Thrones has come and gone, but the careers of its stars are far from over. Our favorite actors are taking on new gigs, championing worthy causes, and bonding with family and friends…and pets. Let’s see what they’re up to today.
First up, Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) is taking her talents to London’s West End, where she’ll be appearing in Anton Chekhov’s classic play, The Seagull. Also in the cast is Indira Varma (Ellaria Sand), so it’s basically a Game of Thrones reunion!
Anyway, Clarke recently posted a picture of the whole cast together:
Clarke is playing Nina, a young woman desperate to become an actress so she can escape an isolated life in the Russian countryside. Varma plays Irina, an older actress fighting to hold onto her position. “Considered to be one of the greatest plays of all time, The Seagull examines the cost of ambition, love, loneliness and fame,” reads the official synopsis. Fun!
The Seagull will be Clarke’s West End debut, so if you get a chance, get your tickets and go see her in action!
Moving on, Maisie Willimas (Arya Stark) is fighting the good fight for Water Aid UK, which aims to provide clean water and decent toilets to people around the world:
Also out there doing good: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), who’s raising awareness of the plight of endangered mountain gorillas in Rwanda on behalf of The Lion’s Share Fund:
Alright, that’s enough about actors doing good deeds. We now bring you John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) passionately talking about his favorite football shirts, football meaning “soccer” for those Americans confused by the transatlantic sports gap, like me:
Sam is bending his mind to the important things in life.
Speaking of important things, Carice van Houten (Melisandre) is out here showing off her new hair color:
Blondes have more fun and burn fewer children at the stake?
In other candid shots, Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) posted a couple of adorable pics of her hanging out with her mom:
FYI, if you’re wondering how to become Facebook friends with Emmanuel, you can start by getting a cute dog:
Speaking of cute doggos, the always stunning Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) is living her best life, rocking Marc Jacobs and taking man’s best friend on a walk:
What’re the chances that pupper is named Podrick? Or the Hound?
Finally, Pilou Asbæk (Euron Greyjoy) is amazed by his likeness spotted in the froth of his cappuccino.
Never change, Pilou.
