Watch the opening moments of The Walking Dead midseason premiere

When last we left our intrepid band of zombie apocalypse survivors, they were in deep s**t. Alpha, the leader of the malevolent Whisperers, had tricked Carol, Daryl, Aaron, Jerry, Magna, Connie and Kelly into a cave where they’re now surrounded by Alpha’s horde of walkers, with seemingly no means of escape.

What’s to become of our gang? AMC has released a sneak preview of the season 10 midseason premiere, “Squeeze,” a few days early. Check it out:

“Make sure they don’t get out,” Alpha tells her followers. Oh, they’re definitely getting out. Well, some of them are, the important ones, anyway.

Anyway, the clip is pretty freaky, thanks in no small part to Carol’s bloodcurdling scream.

AMC also released a clip of a conversation between utter megalomaniac Alpha and recovering megalomaniac Negan, talking about a spy in Alpha’s camp:

We can see how all of this shakes down when The Walking Dead season 10 comes back this Sunday, February 23 on AMC.
