Jack Gleeson (King Joffrey) returning to TV

The cast and crew of Game of Thrones are up to all manner of interesting things nowadays, starting with Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson — the Mountain, the scariest character on Game of Thrones — wearing a frilly pink tutu:

I know that was quick but I really felt we didn’t to get to that. I’ll never be able to unsee it and I’ll never want to.

Next, Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) and Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) pose with Mel Gibson, of all people, the lot of them sporting magnificent facial hair:

Jason Momoa for William Wallace in the remake of Braveheart, please.

Finally, Jack Gleeson (King Joffrey) is returning to television after a six-year hiatus following his character’s death on Game of Thrones, reports Radio Times.

Gleeson will act in an ensemble cast for a six-part comedy series on BBC Two: Out Of Her Mind. The show comes from English comedian Sara Pascoe and will explore “heartbreak, family, and how to survive them.” It’ll feature a mixture of live-action and animation.

“Out Of Her Mind is a direct expression of my mind,” said Pascoe. “We’ve turned my brain into a theme-park, and everyone’s invited! The cast are INCREDIBLE and I can’t wait for people to see what we’ve made.”

Gleeson will star alongside Pascoe herself, Juliet Stevenson, Cariad Lloyd, and rapper Scroobius Pip, among others. After Thrones, Gleeson took a break from onscreen appearances to work in theaters, and it’s cool to see him coming back. Has enough time passed for people to stop associating him with the worst little shit to appear on TV in the last decade?

We’ll see.
