Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be released on digital next week. To celebrate the happy occasion, Disney has released a blooper reel and several behind-the-scenes clips!
We’ve already seen several HD clips from Rise, but these are new. Let’s check them out.
First up, USA Today provides a lighter look at the scene where Allegiant General Pryde (Richard E. Grant) murders General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson):
Next up, with a bit of special effects magic, Billie Lourd (Lieutenant Connix) took on the role of Young Leia for a flashback scene. And yes, Lourd is Carrie Fisher’s daughter.
“It’s literally like a gift from her, or her forcing us to make her the star of the movie,” Lourd jokingly said on Good Morning America. “Probably both.”
Moving on, this clip of Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) training with his lightsaber only reinforces the impression that is a very intense person:
Adam Driver will not be moved.
Next up, the Star Wars Twitter account released a little montage from The Rise of Skywalker that ends with Rey’s final words from the movie:

If you follow the Star Wars fandom, you know that not all of them were in love with that last bit, and they reacted predictably:

wow... watching her saying “rey skywalker” soon followed by the movie title “the rise of skywalker” made me once again realize just how stupid this movie is.
