AMC is set to launch a third Walking Dead spinoff next month. It’s The Walking Dead: World Beyond, a show that focuses on the first generation to come of age in the zombie apocalypse.  “Some will become heroes,” reads the synopsis. “Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever.”

This looks like fun! And it’s only going to run for two seasons, so we don’t to worry about the show dragging itself out.

Ahead of the April release, AMC has released a batch of glossy new photos, along with a nifty piece of key art:

This is easily the most colorful thing ever to be associated with The Walking Dead.

Now for the photos. The gang has a strategy sesh before…

We also have an extended synopsis, courtesy of AMC:

"Two sisters along with two friends leave a place of safety and comfort to brave dangers, known and unknown, living and undead on an important quest. Pursued by those who wish to protect them and those who wish to harm them, a tale of growing up and transformation unfurls across dangerous terrain, challenging everything they know about the world, themselves and each other."

Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Annet Mahendru, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, Nico Tortorella, and Julia Ormond headline the cast.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond was co-created by Scott Gimple and showrunner Matt Negrete, and will premiere on AMC on April 12.
