The Wildefell Wolves are coming to Con of Thrones 2020!

As the Coronavirus sweeps over the world, we’re hearing more and more about major gatherings being cancelled. But we can hold out hope that this pandemic will pass before too long, and some events are scheduled far enough out that they’ll hopefully be okay. Chief among these (for me, anyway), is the fourth annual Con of Thrones, the world’s premiere convention dedicated to all things Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire. This one is to be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL from July 17-19, 2020.

In fact, Con of Thrones is adding new members to the lineup! Wildefell Wolves, an educational and rescue organization that takes its “ambassador wolves” to conventions and on select film and commercial sets, will be in attendance. Photo opportunities with the wolves are already on sale.

Naturally, Wildefell Wolves got its start with a wolfdog named “Stark,” according to the organization’s “About” page. We’d expect nothing less from an organization going to this particular convention.

Con of Thrones already has several guests lined up, with more still to be announced. Those on the docket include Anton Lesser (Qyburn), Miltos Yerolemou (Syrio Forel, who will be giving water dancing workshops), Sam Coleman (Young Hodor) and Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont). Plus, there will be lots of panels discussing the in and outs of Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire theories, history, fandom and more, not to mention the parties and cosplay contests and the like. It’s always a great time.

Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that the convention goes as planned. You can get your tickets here.

Next. George R.R. Martin “spending more time in Westeros” than the real world. dark
