Fandom Madness Championship: Star Wars vs The Wheel of Time

The moment has finally arrived! Our Fandom Madness tournament pitting 64 of science-fiction and fantasy’s most popular characters has reached the Championship match. Only two characters remain from a field that once boasted folks from franchises like The Walking Dead, Harry Potter, Star Trek and many more. But there can only be two…and very soon, one.

But before we get to the final vote, let’s recap what happened last time. On one side of the bracket, we had a pair of heavyweights, as Jon Snow — our sole remaining one seed — took on Han Solo. And while Jon initially held a wide lead, Star Wars fans rallied to advance the happy-go-lucky rogue in the final stretch.

But the real fireworks came on the other side of the bracket, where The Wheel of Time’s Moraine Damodred faced off against Lucifer from Lucifer. Throughout this tournament, these two fandoms have been the most passionate about whipping votes, and both bases were out in full force this time. One character would lead for a while, and then the other would rally, and back and forth in a thrilling exchange that was neck-and-neck pretty much the whole way. After a protracted battle, Moiraine emerged victorious by the smallest of margins.

We are in awe of both fandoms, and hope both walked away with their heads held high, and remember: the fight is not over yet!

This is it, the championship. Will Han Solo pull off a death-defying maneuver that wins him the day, or will Moiraine lay down the magic and take it all? Voting will last until Sunday evening at 8:00 p.m. EST. Vote below!

In years past, our tournament focused solely on Game of Thrones, but with the show over, we opened it up to include more fandoms, and we’re so glad we did!
