Star Wars: The Clone Wars is heading into its final four episodes even, and Disney+ has just given us a preview of the beginning of the end.

Chills.

The next episode is titled “Old Friends Not Forgotten,” which is appropriate, since it looks like Obi-Wan, Anakin and Rex are finally reunited with Ahsoka for the first time since she left the Jedi Order. Oh yeah, and the Mandalorian group the Nite Owls led by Bo-Katan are there, too. Should be fun!

“Ahsoka Tano reaches out to Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi seeking assistance to secure the capture of longtime adversary and former Sith Lord Maul, but the news of Grievous’ attack on Coruscant and Palpatine’s capture forces a difficult decision for the Jedi,” reads the official synopsis. Looks like the episode will begin on another planet, as Obi-Wan and Anakin’s clone army fights against the Separatists:

The look on both Anakin and Obi-Wan’s face probably means they’re looking at Ahsoka, or at least getting an order from the Jedi Council to meet her on Mandalore.

Ahsoka arrives in a Republic ship with Bo-Katan. R2-D2 greets her. R2 and Ahsoka had a close friendship in the older Clone Wars stories, and I can only imagine he’s beeping and whirring in glee.

Obi-Wan and Anakin greet Ahsoka and the Mandalorians:

Ahsoka has to have a storm of emotions stirring inside her at seeing her old Jedi Master once again.

Here, Anakin Skywalker introduces Ahsoka to her own battalion of clone soldiers led by her old friend Rex:

Notice the markings on the clone troopers’ helmets? It’s the same markings as on Ahsoka’s face. It’s a sign of respect for her.

The clones stand at attention for their Jedi general, Ahsoka Tano.

Ahsoka seems grateful for the gesture.

I’m not crying, you are.

Getting down to the business at hand, Bo-Katan gets a holocall from one of her Nite Owls aboard a dropship headed for Mandalore:

Ahsoka and Rex stand together. Notice his helmet has the outlines of Ahsoka’s montrals and lekku.

Looks like Bo-Katan is drawing down on someone:

And finally, Ahsoka leads the clones down a dark tunnel that likely leads into the heart of Keldabe, the capital city of Mandalore:

These are all very exciting photos, but it’s odd that Disney would release so many after we got so few last week.

Perhaps more happens in “Old Friends Not Forgotten” than we think. Find out when Star Wars: The Clone Wars airs on Friday, only on Disney+.
